Judgment Tarot

This week I wanted to feature The Golden Tarot. It is really a spectacular deck comprised of collage imagery from the European masters paintings, these Tarot cards pay tribute to artwork of the Middle Ages and early Renaissance celebrating the exploration of tarot and its artistic heritage. The edges of the cards are gold gilt...Stunning!

Sooo…..the tarot card of the day: Judgement...Oooo one of my favorites!

This is one of the more complicated cards in the deck, many levels to this card. I actually don't like the name “Judgement", I think other decks use a better description "Awakening". This card is the 20th card of the major arcana. The fool starts his journey with card 0 and makes his way through the cards till he gets to card 21, The Universe, which completes his journey and opens the opportunity to start a new cycle back at 0, the Fool again. The Fool starts his journey on what he perceives his journey and goals will be, how thinks it should be and how he hopes it will be. As we go through our journey and discover lessons along the way we may not have anticipated, we experience hope, leadership, choices, strength, control, change, introspection, shedding, rebirth, balance, harmony, healing, till we end up at card 20, Awakening. It's a crossroads. Now we know the truth of the journey and how it really is as opposed to how we perceived it would be. Once you know and have seen the truth, you can't unsee it, which is why I prefer the name Awakening over Judgement, we have Awakened to the reality of it. Now this has to be assimilated and integrated, our perception and truth, before we can move to the energy of the last card of the major arcana, The Universe, and wrap up this part of our journey to start a new cycle and hopefully elevate the vibration of the soul with these new truths, and take all the wisdom and experience from this cycle and previous cycles to put in the Fool's knapsack to get ready to take off and start a new cycle/journey again. Very exciting!!!
